The following courses requirements are for Florida residents exclusively.
Applicants who live out of the state or out of the country, need to follow the practice requirements before you join any of the courses offered by our training institution.
We accept students from any country or State who like to take our short courses and those who want to apply for a continuing education course in some of the aesthetic fields; however, if you are planning to execute the practice in Florida, you need to follow the Florida requirement for each course.
The requirements for Florida applicants are as follows:
Although the only regulation that directly addresses laser hair removal in Florida is Rule 64B8-56.002, F.A.C., which states that: “electrologists can perform laser hair removal only under the direct supervision of a licensed physician who has been properly trained in hair removal,” there is a restriction to the use of laser in Florida. The Board of Medicine considers lasers a medical procedure and should be performed by a licensed professional in Florida.
– Candidates must have at least one of the following active or current licenses.
Medical Doctor (MD)
Nurse Practitioner. (Advance Registered Nurse Practitioner-ARNP)
Physician Assistance (PA)
Electrologists with an active license in Florida.
The electrologist must graduate from the Electrolysis and Laser Program or a graduate from the program of Electrolysis that requires CME certification to do laser hair removal in Florida.
– Candidates must have at least one of the following active or current licenses.
Cosmetologist
Facial Specialist
Electrologist
Nursing
Massage Therapist
Chiropractor Assistance
CCPA
The following professionals can perform any laser procedure and should be properly trained.
MD (Medical Doctor)
APRN (Advance Registered Nurse Practitioner)
PA (Physician Assistance )
The following certified professionals could be included for non-ablative lasers on the skin, but only those with an active electrolysis license in Florida.
. – Medical Assistant Aesthetician (MA) with active Electrolysis License.
. – Nursing Dermatology or Nursing Esthetician (Register Nurse) with active Electrolysis License.
